PROVIDENCE, RI — A Providence woman was arrested on forgery and counterfeiting charges following a motor vehicle stop on Branch Avenue.
Dulce Gomez-Cante, 26, of Providence, was taken into custody at 5:30 p.m.
She was charged with two counts of forgery and counterfeiting of registration plates and providing false document to public official.
Gomez-Cante was transported to the State Police Lincoln Woods Barracks, where she was processed and arraigned by a Justice of the Peace.
She was released with a future Sixth Division District Court date.
In a separate incident at 8:35 p.m., troopers arrested Vladimil Sanchez, 24, of North Providence, on a Sixth Division District Court bench warrant during a motor vehicle stop on Branch Avenue.
The warrant was issued for failure to appear for arraignment on the original charge of driving with a suspended license, fourth or subsequent offense, originating from the East Providence Police.
Sanchez was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks, where he was processed and arraigned by a Justice of the Peace.
He was released with a future Sixth Division District Court summons.
