Man found dead in Corinth home

CORINTH, VT — Vermont State Police are investigating a suspicious death after a man was found unresponsive in a home Saturday night.

Police received a 911 call at approximately 11:15 p.m. Saturday reporting a man had been shot at a residence on Richardson Road.

Troopers responded and located an unresponsive man inside the home.

Emergency medical services personnel pronounced the man dead at the scene.

The death is being treated as suspicious.

Police say their preliminary investigation indicates the incident stemmed from a domestic dispute involving people who knew each other.

All individuals associated with the matter have been accounted for, and police say there is no identified danger to the public.

The victim’s body will be transported to the Chief Medical Examiner’s Office in Burlington for an autopsy to determine the cause and manner of death.

State police will release the victim’s identity following further investigation and notification of relatives.

The investigation involves members of the Vermont State Police Major Crime Unit, Bureau of Criminal Investigations, Crime Scene Search Team, Field Force Division and Victim Services Unit.
