SCOTT, NY — Two people were critically injured in a crash involving a tractor-trailer and an SUV on State Route 41 on Feb. 12, 2026.
The Cortland County Sheriff’s Office responded to the crash at approximately 10:20 a.m.
One occupant of the SUV was reported to be trapped inside the vehicle.
Officers arrived on scene and assisted fire personnel with extricating the entrapped occupant.
The occupants were identified as Ward Dukelow, 86, and Joann Dukelow, 82, both of Homer.
Both were transported to Upstate Hospital in critical condition.
The operator of the tractor-trailer was identified as William Schuessler, 63, of Sodus Point.
Schuessler was uninjured and was operating for Eagle Eye Transport, based in Elbridge.
The investigation is ongoing.
