UPPER ALLEN, PA — A California man has been arrested following a 2023 electronic theft investigation.
Ernesto Bracamonte, 37, of Baldwin Park, California, was charged with theft by deception.
In July 2023, Upper Allen Police took a report of a theft by deception that was committed electronically.
A victim in Upper Allen sent money to Bracamonte for a service that he had no intention of performing.
An investigation confirmed that Bracamonte received the funds without providing the agreed upon service.
In December 2023, an arrest warrant was obtained for the defendant.
After two years, Bracamonte was apprehended with assistance from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Office.
Following his extradition, a preliminary hearing was held on Thursday, and the theft by deception charge was bound over to the Court of Common Pleas.
