Man arrested on weapons charges in Chambersburg

CHAMBERSBURG, PA — A 19-year-old man was arrested after allegedly firing multiple gunshots at a housing authority building Tuesday afternoon.

Nasir Yusef Iman, of Harrisburg, was taken into custody at approximately 5:30 p.m. in Harrisburg City following the incident.

The Chambersburg Police Department was dispatched to the 300 block of West Washington Street at approximately 2:53 p.m. for a report of shots fired.

Police determined that Iman arrived at the Franklin County Housing Authority and fired numerous rounds from a firearm.

No victims were reported injured and no property damage was reported from the shooting.

Iman was charged with two counts of person not to possess a firearm, two counts of firearms not to be carried without a license and 12 counts of recklessly endangering another person.

The Chambersburg Police Department thanked the Harrisburg City Police Department and the Pennsylvania State Police for their assistance with the investigation.
