WORCESTER, MA — A man was arrested Thursday after police recovered dozens of firearms and firearm components during a search warrant execution on Pilgrim Avenue.
Members of the Worcester Police Department Crime Gun Unit, Gang Unit and EOP/SWAT, along with agents from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and the United States Postal Inspection Service executed the warrant following a lengthy multiagency investigation into illegal firearm manufacturing and possession.
Detectives recovered approximately 16 handguns, 7 rifles, 2 shotguns, 15 large capacity magazines, 30 additional magazines and 4 suppressors in various stages of assembly and completion.
Police also seized hundreds of rounds of ammunition, body armor, a 3D printer and tools for manufacturing firearms.
The suspect is scheduled to be arraigned in Worcester District Court.
