Six arrested in kidnapping investigation in Springfield

SPRINGFIELD, VT — Six people were arrested following an investigation into a report of individuals being held against their will at a residence in Springfield.

Officers from the Springfield Police Department initiated the investigation on Jan. 24, 2026 at approximately 9:45 p.m.

The investigation was supported by the Vermont State Police, Windsor County Sheriff’s Department, Bellows Falls Police Department and the Springfield Fire Department.

Damarcus Bonner, 30, of Connecticut, was arrested on charges of kidnapping, unlawful restraint, aggravated assault, reckless endangerment, maiming, extortion, prohibited person in possession of a firearm, fentanyl trafficking and heroin trafficking.

Tyon Harris, 26, of Massachusetts, was arrested on charges of kidnapping, unlawful restraint, aggravated assault, reckless endangerment, maiming and extortion.

Jessenialyz Jones, 18, of Massachusetts, was arrested on charges of unlawful restraint, aggravated assault, maiming, extortion and false information to a police officer.

Nicole Palardy, 38, of New Hampshire, was arrested on charges of kidnapping and unlawful restraint.

Jesse Emerson, 46, of Vermont, was arrested on a charge of kidnapping.

Sheldon Stocker, 37, of Vermont, was arrested on a charge of accessory after the fact.

The incident remains under active investigation by local and federal authorities.
