AUBURN, NY — A Port Byron man faces a felony drug charge after police found him in a vehicle behind an auto parts store.
Officers responded to a suspicious vehicle complaint in the parking lot behind Advance Auto Parts at 317 Genesee St. at approximately 3:13 p.m. Feb. 10.
Police found a vehicle occupied by Douglas H. Wilson, 56, of Port Byron, who was asleep.
After waking Wilson, officers discovered a quantity of cocaine in the vehicle, according to Sgt. D. Edmonds.
Wilson was arrested and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree, a class B felony.
He was transported to Cayuga County Jail and arraigned at 7 a.m. Feb. 11.
Wilson was released on his own recognizance pending further court proceedings.
