LOGAN TOWNSHIP, PA — A 28-year-old man was arrested Tuesday following an investigation into unlawful contact with a minor.
Nicholas Cristini of Falls Creek was taken into custody after detectives conducted a two-week investigation.
In early January, members of the local group “814PredHunter” contacted the Logan Township Police Department to report that one of their 15-year-old decoys had been in contact with Cristini, who was soliciting for sexual acts from someone he believed to be a 15-year-old juvenile female.
Detectives from the Criminal Investigation Division traveled to Falls Creek on Feb. 10, where they executed a search warrant at Cristini’s residence.
Cristini was located inside the residence and taken into custody on an active arrest warrant.
Two cell phones and a laptop belonging to Cristini were seized pending additional search warrants.
Cristini is charged with unlawful contact with a minor, a first-degree felony; sexual abuse of children/solicitation, a second-degree felony; criminal attempted corruption of minors, a third-degree felony; and criminal use of a communication facility, a third-degree felony.
He was transported to the Blair County Prison Central Booking Center and denied bail.
The Logan Township Police Department was assisted by 814PredHunters, the Pennsylvania State Police Hollidaysburg and Clearfield barracks, Homeland Security Investigations and the Blair County District Attorney’s Office.
