CORNWALL, VT — Vermont State Police are investigating a hit-and-run crash that occurred on Route 30 near Cider Mill Road on Feb. 11, 2026.
Troopers responded to the scene at approximately 8:33 a.m. after receiving reports of a two-vehicle crash in which one vehicle fled.
According to police, both vehicles were traveling north on Route 30 when the first vehicle, a flatbed wrecker, lost control.
The flatbed struck the driver’s side of a 2013 Subaru Legacy operated by Samantha Lafave, 37, of Sudbury.
The wrecker then fled the scene.
No injuries were reported in the crash.
Road conditions were snow-covered at the time, and weather was cloudy.
The operator of the flatbed wrecker remains unknown.
