OLEAN, NY — A man was taken into custody on a parole warrant and faces additional charges after authorities say he attempted to reach for a knife during his arrest.
Devin M. Frisicaro, 29, of Olean, was arrested at 11 a.m. Feb. 10, 2026, by the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office and the New York State Parole fugitive task force.
While officers were attempting to place Frisicaro in custody, he tried to access a large knife that was on his belt, according to the sheriff’s office.
After Frisicaro was taken into custody, authorities located a quantity of suspected methamphetamine and a quantity of suspected fentanyl on him.
He was issued appearance tickets for criminal possession of a weapon in the fourth degree and criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree.
Frisicaro is scheduled to appear in Olean City Court at a later date.
He was remanded to the Cattaraugus County Jail on the state parole warrant.
