Building evacuated after bomb threat in Fall River

FALL RIVER, MA — A bomb threat prompted the evacuation of the Boys & Girls Club on Tuesday evening.

Officers responded to the facility at 803 Bedford Street at approximately 5:30 p.m. after receiving a report of a bomb threat.

The building was evacuated and all occupants were safely escorted to the Fonseca School.

Police K9s trained in explosives detection conducted a coordinated search of the property.

No suspicious items were located and no detections were made.

Police believe the call was a robocall hoax.

The incident remains under investigation.
