WATERBURY, CT — Four people were arrested after police executed search warrants at a Waterbury residence and seized three handguns, crack cocaine and more than $3,000 in cash.
Members of the Waterbury Police Department’s Vice and Intelligence Unit, Gang Task Force, and Auto Theft Task Force, along with the Connecticut State Police Violent Crimes Task Force, executed the warrants on Feb. 3, 2026.
The warrants targeted Cesar Arrindell, 27, of Waterbury; his 2007 Honda Accord; and a residence at 32 Gilyard Drive, Apartment A.
Police seized a Taurus 9mm handgun, a Cobra FS .380 handgun, and a Glock 33 .357 handgun, along with crack cocaine and $3,181 in U.S. currency.
One of the firearms had been reported stolen, according to police.
None of the individuals arrested possessed a valid Connecticut pistol permit.
Arrindell was charged with theft of a firearm, insufficient insurance, operating a drug factory, illegal sale or transfer of a firearm, two counts of risk of injury of a minor, three counts of unsafe storage of a firearm, operating an unregistered motor vehicle, possession of narcotics with intent to sell, and three counts of possession of high-capacity magazine.
Dixiana Ramirez, 23, of Waterbury, was charged with unsafe storage of a firearm, possession of drug paraphernalia, and two counts of risk of injury to a minor.
Luis Laporte, 24, of Waterbury, was charged with two counts of risk of injury to a minor and possession of narcotics with intent to sell.
Martin Alvarez, 33, of Waterbury, was charged with possession of narcotics with intent to sell.
