NEW YORK MILLS, NY — A man was arrested following a domestic incident that left a victim with serious injuries.
Road Patrol Deputies responded to Wynn Hospital on Feb. 8, 2026, for reports of a victim who sustained serious injuries after a domestic incident, according to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol.
It was reported that a physical domestic dispute occurred on Feb. 6, 2026, at a residence in the outer district of Rome.
Brian T. Morrissey, 37, of New York Mills, was arrested by the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Unit at the conclusion of the investigation.
Morrissey was charged with assault in the second degree, a Class D felony, and endangering the welfare of a child, a Class A misdemeanor.
Morrissey was processed at the LEB and held pending an arraignment in CAP Court.
After arraignment, Morrissey was remanded to the Oneida County Jail on $10,000 cash bail.
An order of protection was issued on behalf of the victim.
