WARRINGTON, PA — A 70-year-old man is facing charges after police say he backed into another vehicle, then drove through an Audi dealership parking lot while fleeing the scene.
Warrington Police were called to TJ Smith’s on Easton Road at 1585 Easton Road on Jan. 30, 2026, for a reported hit-and-run crash.
The victim told officers they were attempting to park when another vehicle backed into their car.
Instead of stopping, the striking driver fled the scene, according to police.
The driver, later identified as Byron Robert White of Doylestown, drove westbound on Kelly Road but became stuck at a traffic light, police said.
Rather than pull over, White reversed his vehicle approximately two car lengths, then drove through the Audi dealership in an apparent attempt to escape, according to police.
The victim photographed the striking vehicle before losing sight of it.
The following day, White walked into the police station and admitted he had struck the other vehicle, police said.
White told officers he left the scene because he “could not locate” the other driver.
Video surveillance showed White made no attempt to communicate with the victim before fleeing, according to police.
White was processed and released on Feb. 1, 2026.
He is charged with accidents involving damage to attended vehicles.
