MATTAPAN, MA — A Brookline man was arrested Tuesday following a traffic stop and search warrant execution that resulted in the recovery of over 200 grams of drugs.
Michael Browne, 58, of Brookline, was arrested by officers assigned to the Drug Control Units of District C-6, B-3, E-13, and the DEA on drug trafficking offenses.
Officers conducted a traffic stop on Capen Street after observing Browne operating a motor vehicle.
A search of his person and vehicle revealed 19 grams of crack cocaine and approximately $1,960 in U.S. currency.
Officers then executed a search warrant at 157 Delhi Street in Mattapan.
The search resulted in the recovery of 80 grams of fentanyl, 130 grams of crack cocaine, 165 Suboxone strips, three vials of liquid methadone, digital scales, and drug manufacturing material.
Browne is expected to be arraigned in Dorchester District Court on charges of trafficking of Class A and trafficking of Class B.
