Three arrested after stolen vehicle stop in Paterson

PATERSON, NJ — Three people were arrested after police stopped a stolen vehicle and recovered three firearms.

Members of the Paterson Police Department’s Community Stabilization Unit conducted a motor vehicle stop and discovered the vehicle had been reported stolen from a neighboring municipality.

Three individuals were inside the vehicle when police made the stop.

One person fled on foot but was apprehended a short time later.

Detectives Aboyoun, Roca, Driscoll, Iqnies, Burton, and Feliciano recovered three firearms during the incident.

The weapons included two semi-automatic handguns and one AK-style pistol.
