LIMERICK TOWNSHIP, PA — Fire crews battled a house fire that spread from a garage early Thursday morning in the 300 block of Mulberry Drive.
Trappe Fire Company was dispatched at 1:33 a.m. to assist Limerick Fire Department with the blaze.
The first arriving captain reported a garage fire extending to the house with possible entrapment.
Ladder 77 from Trappe arrived as the second due truck with a crew of five and conducted a search of the structure.
Multiple fire companies including UPT Fire & Emergency Services, Royersford Fire Department, Perkiomen Township Fire Company and Sanatoga Fire Company initiated an interior fire attack.
Crews were forced to evacuate the building due to unsafe conditions.
Skippack Fire Company and Lower Providence Fire Department were dispatched to provide rapid intervention team coverage.
The fire was brought under control at 2:47 a.m.
All occupants and their dogs escaped safely.
Ladder 77 remained on scene until 3:45 a.m.
