SURRY, ME — Maine State Police are investigating a fatal three-vehicle crash that occurred Friday afternoon on Blue Hill Road.
Troopers responded to the scene at approximately 2:44 p.m.
The initial investigation indicates that a 2015 Subaru Forester was traveling northbound when it crossed the center line for an unknown reason and struck two southbound vehicles, a 2018 Honda Fit and a 2024 Ram 2500.
The operator of the Subaru Forester sustained critical injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The deceased operator has been identified as Mark Nevells, 47, of Brooksville.
The operators of the other two vehicles were transported to a local hospital, where they were treated and later released.
