NORRISTOWN, PA — A man was arrested Sunday after a domestic incident in the 200 block of Main Street that resulted in him being stabbed.
Officers were dispatched to the location at approximately 9:29 a.m. for a report of a stabbing.
Through investigation, police determined that Marcus Burns, 33, of Pennsylvania, and the victim got into a verbal altercation that turned physical.
During the physical altercation, the victim reached for a knife and stabbed Burns in the leg to gain her freedom, according to police.
A Protection from Abuse Order was in place that prohibited Burns from being at the residence or having contact with the victim.
Burns was arrested without incident and transported to a hospital where he was medically cleared.
He was then housed at Montgomery County Correctional Facility and is being held on $12,000 bail.
Burns is charged with simple assault, indirect criminal attempt, harassment, possession of marijuana and disorderly conduct.
