MALDEN, MA — A Melrose man has been arrested in connection with a series of random assaults near the Malden Center MBTA station.
Ralph Fleuristil, 34, of Melrose, was taken into custody on Feb. 6, 2026, at approximately 6 a.m. when Malden Police detectives and the Special Operations Unit executed arrest and search warrants at a residence on Ferdinand Street in Melrose.
The assaults occurred in and around the Malden Center MBTA station area, with at least two of the incidents appearing to be sexually motivated, according to police.
Detective David Yung led the investigation, which resulted in the positive identification of two female victims.
Police believe there are at least two additional female victims who have not yet come forward.
The incidents under investigation are believed to have occurred in and around Jan. 18.
