ATHOL, MA — Athol Police Detective Forand and the Northwestern District Attorney’s Office Anti-Crime Task Force executed a search warrant at a residence Wednesday evening.
The warrant was obtained because of ongoing citizen complaints and multiple lengthy investigations, including prior search warrant executions conducted in 2024 and 2025.
Illegal narcotics and U.S. currency were seized as a result of the search.
Taylor Balfour, 65, of Athol, and Corey Melanson, 49, of Athol, were arrested and charged with narcotics-related offenses.
Both individuals will be arraigned in Orange District Court.
