NAUGATUCK, CT — Naugatuck police arrested two people following a domestic disturbance on Perock Lane on Feb. 2, 2026.
Officers responded to a residence in the area for a disturbance call.
Police learned that Kevin James Jennings, 30, of Ansonia, was involved in an argument with Cyndie Paduani, 29, of Naugatuck.
During the dispute, Paduani took possession of Jennings’ firearm and allegedly threatened him with it, according to police.
Jennings left the residence before police arrived.
The incident resulted in a large deployment of police resources in the area.
Police established communication with Paduani, who exited the residence without incident and was taken into custody.
Officers were initially unable to locate the firearm and requested assistance from the Waterbury Police Department’s firearm detection canine.
K9 Bane and his handler Lieutenant Krchnavy conducted a search of the apartment.
K9 Bane found a loaded Glock 43X 9mm handgun concealed inside the residence.
Jennings was charged with risk of injury to a minor and reckless endangerment in the second degree.
He was held on a $10,000 bond and appeared in Waterbury Superior Court on Tuesday.
Paduani was charged with threatening in the first degree with a firearm, risk of injury to a minor, reckless endangerment in the first degree and disorderly conduct.
She was held on a $100,000 bond and appeared in Waterbury Superior Court on Tuesday.
