Police seek murder suspect in Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA, PA — Philadelphia police are asking for the public’s help in locating a man wanted in connection with two separate shootings involving tow truck drivers.

Najee Williams, 27, of Philadelphia, is wanted for murder and other charges related to a December shooting and a fatal double shooting in January.

The first incident occurred on Dec. 22, 2025, at approximately 12:17 p.m. when officers responded to a call at 4200 Torresdale Ave.

Officers discovered David Garcia-Morales, 20, of Philadelphia, inside a 2017 Ford F-450 Super Duty towing vehicle.

Garcia-Morales had been shot in the neck and thigh and was transported to Temple University Hospital, where he died on Dec. 26, 2025.

Williams is also wanted for a second shooting that took place on Jan. 11 at approximately 7:52 p.m.

Officers responded to the 2100 block of Knorr Street, where they found Aaron Whitfield, 25, of Philadelphia, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the head and body inside a tow truck.

Whitfield was pronounced dead at the scene.

A 21-year-old woman was shot in the left leg during the same incident and was transported to Jefferson Einstein Philadelphia Hospital in stable condition.

On Jan. 28, the District Attorney’s Office approved charges against Williams including murder, violation of the Uniform Firearms Act, conspiracy, possessing instruments of crime and recklessly endangering another person.

Williams is considered armed and dangerous, and police are cautioning the public not to approach him.

A $20,000 reward is being offered for information that leads to an arrest and conviction.
