SCHENECTADY, NY — A pedestrian was killed after being struck by a vehicle on Feb. 4, 2026.
Schenectady police responded to the area of Albany Street and Elbert Street at approximately 9:35 p.m. for a reported auto-pedestrian accident.
The pedestrian, a 59-year-old man from Schenectady, was transported to a local hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
The driver of the vehicle remained on scene and is cooperating fully with the investigation.
The investigation remains ongoing with the assistance of the Schenectady County Sheriff’s Office.
