Traffic stop yields drug seizure in West Greenwich

WEST GREENWICH, RI — A traffic stop in the early morning hours of Feb. 2, 2026, led to the seizure of suspected methamphetamine, cocaine and GHB, according to the West Greenwich Police Department.

A West Greenwich police officer conducted a roadside interview with the vehicle’s operator and received consent to search the vehicle.

The search yielded suspected methamphetamine, cocaine and GHB.

The suspect was later arraigned in court on charges of possession of a Schedule I/II controlled substance with intent to manufacture or deliver and possession of a Schedule I to V controlled substance over 10 grams and under 1 ounce.
