SIDNEY, NY — Police arrested a woman on drug and impaired driving charges following a report of a suspicious person in a grocery store parking lot.
The Sidney Police Department received a complaint at approximately 8 p.m. on Feb. 1, 2026, regarding a suspicious person and vehicle in the Price Chopper parking lot.
Officers responded and located an individual who appeared to be under the influence of a controlled substance.
Sidney Police K9 Chase was deployed during the investigation and alerted to the presence of narcotics inside the vehicle.
Kelly A. Sullivan, 40, of Sidney, was arrested and charged with one count of driving while ability impaired by drugs, an unclassified misdemeanor, and seven counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree, a Class A misdemeanor.
Sullivan was processed and released on appearance tickets.
