DELHI, NY — The Delaware County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Nanuet man on drunken driving charges following a multi-vehicle crash Saturday night.
Deputies responded to a multi-vehicle accident on Sherwood Road in the Town of Delhi at approximately 11:30 p.m. Saturday.
During the investigation, deputies interviewed the operator of each involved vehicle.
Colin Stemmerman, 19, of Nanuet, appeared to be under the influence of alcohol, according to Sheriff Craig S. DuMond.
Stemmerman was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated with a blood alcohol content of .18 or higher and driving while intoxicated, both misdemeanors.
He was also charged with leaving the scene of a property damage motor vehicle accident and no seat belt, both violations.
Stemmerman was issued appearance tickets returnable to the Town of Delhi Court and released.
