LOWER TOWNSHIP, NJ — Two people have been arrested in connection with a theft and money laundering scheme that allegedly spanned three years at a local plumbing business.
Jenna M. Gibson, 35, of Galloway, and her husband, Chadwick W. Handlovsky, 33, of Galloway, were arrested following an investigation by the Lower Township Police Department Detective Bureau.
The investigation began after Al’s Plumbing & Heating Inc., a family-owned business located in the Villas, conducted an analysis of their business accounts and discovered discrepancies in earnings.
Gibson worked as office manager at the business, and Handlovsky worked as a plumber.
Police determined approximately $300,000 was stolen from the business during the time period in question.
Both defendants were charged with theft by deception, money laundering and conspiracy to commit theft, among other applicable theft charges.
All charges are second-degree crimes.
They were released from custody in accordance with New Jersey bail reform guidelines.
The case is pending court proceedings.
