PUTNEY, VT — Vermont State Police arrested a local man on multiple charges following an assault report on U.S. Route 5.
Police received a report of an assault at approximately 8:40 a.m. Monday.
An investigation revealed that James Rowe, 53, of Putney, had assaulted two individuals from Putney.
Police also discovered that Rowe had an outstanding Vermont in-state arrest warrant.
Rowe was charged with aggravated assault and unlawful mischief, and was arrested on the warrant.
