MILFORD, NH — Police are searching for a white pickup truck that struck a pedestrian and fled the scene Saturday evening.
The Milford Police, Ambulance and Fire departments responded to the area of 268 Federal Hill Road around 5:30 p.m. for a report of a pedestrian struck by a motor vehicle.
A 38-year-old man from Milford was found lying in the northbound lane near 268 Federal Hill Road, wearing a dark coat and pants.
The man told police he was walking north on Federal Hill Road when he was struck from behind and did not see the vehicle that hit him.
He was transported to Southern NH Medical Center by Milford Ambulance Service for treatment of his injuries.
Witnesses traveling on the road at the time reported seeing a white truck with a V plow driving northbound just prior to the accident.
One witness stated they did not see the truck move over when it passed the walking pedestrian and saw the flashlight the pedestrian had been carrying on the ground after the incident.
The truck is described as white in color with a V-style plow and is believed to be a model between 2018 and 2025.
