NASHUA, NH — Two people were seriously injured after a wrong-way driver struck their vehicle on the F.E. Everett Turnpike early Sunday morning.

At 1:35 a.m. on Feb. 1, State Police dispatch received reports of a silver Honda traveling southbound in the northbound lanes of the F.E. Everett Turnpike in Nashua.

Trooper Shane Mason of the Troop B barracks responded and located the Honda, which was still traveling the wrong way as it passed Exit 4.

Trooper Mason turned on his emergency lights and attempted to stop the Honda, but the driver did not stop and continued in the wrong direction for another half-mile before the Honda crashed into a Nissan Rogue.

The driver and only occupant of the Honda was taken into custody and identified as Madison Bryson-Poliquin, 21, of Nashua.

Bryson-Poliquin was arrested and charged with a felony charge of reckless conduct – deadly weapon, a misdemeanor charge of DUI, and a violation of reckless conduct.

She was released on personal recognizance and is scheduled to appear in Nashua District Court on Wednesday, Feb. 11.

The driver and passenger of the Nissan Rogue were transported to an area hospital to be treated for serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Multiple lanes of the F.E. Everett Turnpike were shut down for approximately one hour while the incident was investigated.
