MARLBORO, VT — A 19-year-old driver was cited for excessive speed after being clocked traveling 70 mph in a 40 mph zone on Vermont Route 9.
The Windham County Sheriff’s Office stopped Aaron J. Pietrzak, of Bennington, at approximately 2:50 p.m. on Feb. 1 after observing the speeding violation, according to Sgt. Norton.
Pietrzak was released from the scene on a citation to appear in Windham Superior Court, Criminal Division at a later date.
He was also issued a traffic ticket for the civil speeding violation.
