CORINTH, NY — The Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office responded to a welfare check Saturday at 6:50 p.m. on Stark Road in the town of Corinth.
A person had reportedly rang the doorbell to a residence and informed the homeowner that they had been assaulted and left on the side of the road.
Investigation into the incident led to the arrest of Daniel P. Tubbs, 51, of Corinth, for assault in the 2nd degree, a class D felony, and reckless endangerment in the 2nd degree, a class A misdemeanor.
Tubbs is accused of intentionally causing serious physical injury to another person by repeatedly punching them to the facial area while he was a passenger in a vehicle the victim was operating.
The victim was transported to Saratoga Hospital by EMS and subsequently transferred to Albany Medical Center for evaluation and treatment of facial and head injuries.
Tubbs was arraigned before the Honorable Lane Schermerhorn and remanded to the Saratoga County Jail pending further proceedings in that court.
