POWNAL, VT — A 60-year-old man was arrested on an outstanding warrant Friday afternoon.
Robert C. Hurley, of Pownal, was taken into custody at a residence on U.S. Route 7 at 1:43 p.m.
Troopers from the Vermont State Police Shaftsbury Barracks were on patrol when they learned of a $200 bail warrant for Hurley.
The warrant was for failure to appear on two counts of criminal driving with a suspended license.
Troopers went to a residence of one of Hurley’s known associates on U.S. Route 7 to locate him.
Hurley was identified and located at the residence.
After confirming the arrest warrant was still active, Hurley was taken into custody.
He was transported to the Vermont State Police Shaftsbury Barracks for processing.
Hurley was issued a citation to appear at Vermont Superior Court in Bennington on Feb. 2 at 12:30 p.m.
He was then transported to Marble Valley Regional Correctional Facility, where he was held on $200 bail.
