SUNDERLAND, VT — Vermont State Police are investigating a single-vehicle crash that occurred early Saturday morning on Sunderland Hill Road.
Troopers from the Shaftsbury Barracks were notified of the crash at approximately 4:58 a.m. Saturday near Roaring Branch Road.
When police arrived, no one was with the vehicle.
An investigation revealed that Jonathon O. Iris, 27, of Sunderland, was operating a 2019 Toyota Tacoma that caused damage to a homeowner’s property.
The vehicle sustained minor damage, and no injuries were reported.
Weather and road conditions were clear at the time of the crash.
Iris was located later and issued a citation to appear in Vermont Superior Court, Bennington Criminal Division, on March 30 at 8:30 a.m. to answer to a charge of leaving the scene of an accident.
