ALBANY, VT — Two vehicles collided at the intersection of Creek Road and Kingdom Road on Jan. 29, 2026.
The Vermont State Police received a call about the crash at 9:25 p.m.
The Vermont State Police, Albany Fire Department and Orleans Ambulance Services responded to the scene.
Troopers identified the operators as Brittany Ritchie, 36, of Rutland City, and Shannon Danaher, 38, of Albany.
The weather was snowing and the road was snow covered at the time of the crash.
Ritchie was operating a 2009 Acura TL, which sustained side and rear end damage.
Danaher was operating a 2023 Kia Carnival, which sustained front end damage.
Danaher and her passengers received minor injuries during the crash and were transported to North Country Hospital.
No injuries were reported in Ritchie’s vehicle.
Both operators were wearing seat belts.
Police said Ritchie failed to yield right of way at a stop sign and crashed into Danaher’s vehicle.
Ritchie was issued a Vermont Civil Violation Complaint for failure to yield at a stop sign.
A passenger in Ritchie’s vehicle was identified as Adam Tatro.
Police said Tatro was in violation of his court ordered conditions of release and was issued a citation to appear in Orleans County Superior Court on March 24 at 8:30 a.m.
