GREENWICH, NY — State Police, with the assistance of the Cambridge-Greenwich Police Department, arrested a local man on assault charges.
Timothy C. Mattimore, 48, of Greenwich, was arrested Jan. 26 for two counts of assault in the second degree and assault in the third degree.
Police responded to a home on Washington Street at about 9:59 a.m. Jan. 26 for a report of a physical altercation.
The investigation determined Mattimore was involved in a disturbance with two individuals in the home.
Mattimore allegedly pushed the two victims down the stairs and repeatedly struck them, significantly injuring both of them.
One of the victims was over the age of 65.
Both victims were transported to Albany Medical Center for treatment of their injuries and have since been discharged.
Mattimore was processed at State Police Queensbury on Jan. 28.
He was then arraigned at the Washington County Centralized Arraignment Part Court, where he was remanded to the Washington County Correctional Facility in lieu of $10,000 cash, $20,000 bond, or a $40,000 partially secured bond.
