Man arrested on multiple charges in Berkshire

BERKSHIRE, NY — A man was arrested on multiple charges following a traffic stop in the Town of Berkshire on Jan. 23.

David Keener, 36, of Berkshire, was charged with resisting arrest, obstruction of governmental administration in the second degree and criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree, all A misdemeanors, according to the Tioga County Sheriff’s Office.

During the traffic stop, deputies recognized Keener as the subject of an arrest warrant issued by the Town of Triangle Court.

Keener attempted to flee on foot before being taken into custody.

He was processed at the Tioga County Sheriff’s Office and released on an appearance ticket returnable to the Town of Berkshire Court on Feb. 16.

Following processing, Keener was turned over to State Police to answer for the arrest warrant.
