KIRKLAND, NY — A 70-year-old man died following a single-vehicle crash on Bristol Road on Jan. 28, 2026.

Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol said deputies were dispatched to the area around 10:20 a.m. for a personal injury accident.

An investigation revealed the male driver had been operating a black 2025 Nissan Rogue in a northerly direction on Bristol Road.

The driver began to lose control of his vehicle while traveling northbound on Bristol Road, almost striking a mailbox on the eastern shoulder of the roadway, according to Maciol.

The vehicle then crossed the roadway into the southbound lane and struck an earth embankment on the western shoulder of the roadway, causing the vehicle to come to rest.

Life-saving measures were attempted, but the male was pronounced deceased shortly after first responders arrived.

The deceased was identified as Salvatore Noti, 70, of New York.

The circumstances surrounding the accident are still being investigated.

The Oneida County Sheriff’s Office was assisted on scene by Kovac Ambulance, the Clinton Fire Department and Clinton Collision.
