CROWN POINT, NY — New York State Police charged a Crown Point woman with multiple weapon possession counts following a domestic dispute investigation.
Holly J. Hawkins, 53, of Crown Point, faces three counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Fourth Degree, three counts of Criminal Possession of a Firearm, and two counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Third Degree.
On Jan. 17, at approximately 7:48 p.m., troopers responded to Narrow Town Road in Crown Point for a reported domestic dispute.
An investigation determined Hawkins and the victim were involved in a verbal argument, which resulted in Hawkins leaving the residence.
The victim expressed concern about Hawkins operating a vehicle and contacted law enforcement.
During the investigation, troopers conducted a legal search of the residence and determined Hawkins was in possession of firearms and ammunition that were not registered in New York State.
Troopers attempted to locate Hawkins, with negative results.
On Jan. 27, Hawkins arrived at State Police Barracks Schroon Lake, where she was arrested and processed.
She was arraigned in the Town of Crown Point Court and released.
Hawkins is scheduled to reappear in the Town of Crown Point Court for a felony hearing on Feb. 1.
