Grigoli Chaphichadze, 48, was taken into custody on Jan. 28, 2026, by Greenwich Police detectives on an active arrest warrant.
Police said Chaphichadze was responsible for multiple residential burglaries in both Greenwich and New Canaan.
Detectives identified a pattern of burglaries sharing a consistent and distinctive modus operandi.
The combined value of stolen property in these incidents is estimated to be at least $1,015,115.
Chaphichadze has been charged with five counts of conspiracy to commit larceny in the first degree, six counts of conspiracy to commit burglary in the third degree, four counts of conspiracy to commit criminal mischief in the second degree and two counts of conspiracy to commit criminal mischief in the first degree.
His bond was set at $5 million by the court.
Police reminded residents to ensure that their home alarm systems are fully operational, particularly second-floor glass break sensors, as investigators have noted that many recent burglaries involved entry through second-floor windows.
The investigation remains active.
