WEST GREENWICH, RI — A 36-year-old man was arrested after allegedly fleeing the scene of a motor vehicle accident on Route 95.
Timothy Ferreira, of East Providence, was taken into custody at 4:51 p.m. by Rhode Island State Police troopers from the Hope Valley Barracks.
Ferreira was charged with duty to stop in accidents resulting in damage to attended vehicle.
The accident occurred on Route 95 in West Greenwich.
Ferreira left the scene of the crash and was later arrested by Coventry Police, according to state police.
He was transported to Kent County Hospital.
Ferreira was issued a misdemeanor summons and released at the hospital.
