HUNTINGDON VALLEY, PA — Police arrested a Philadelphia man after he allegedly provided false identification during a stolen vehicle investigation on Jan. 22.

Aaron Christoph McKelvy, 30, of Philadelphia, was charged with flight to avoid apprehension/trial/punishment, false identification to law enforcement and obstruction of administration of law or other government function.

Police detected a stolen Pennsylvania license plate on a silver Nissan Pathfinder traveling eastbound on Philmont Avenue from Huntingdon Pike.

The vehicle was located on the 2800 block of Philmont Avenue.

Police contacted the operator, Charles Parks, and two passengers, including a juvenile.

The vehicle and license plate were determined to be stolen, and Parks was taken into custody.

McKelvy allegedly provided false identification information, including a name and date of birth, which did not match information on a social security card found in his wallet.

McKelvy failed to reveal his true identity at the scene despite multiple opportunities, police said.

He was transported to the police station, where his identity was eventually discovered and confirmed.

McKelvy was found to have an active warrant out of Philadelphia for probation violation.
