Man arrested in shooting in Burlington, NJ

BURLINGTON, NJ — A 21-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a shooting that occurred on York Street last week.

Deaundra Collins Jr., of Burlington, was taken into custody on Jan. 27, 2026, following an investigation into a shooting that took place on Jan. 20, 2026, at approximately 3:57 p.m. on the 500 block of York Street.

Police said multiple gunshots were fired, striking both a motor vehicle and a residence.

No injuries were reported.

Collins was identified as the suspect following a joint investigation by Burlington police detectives and the Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office.

He has been charged with aggravated assault, unlawful possession of a handgun, possession of a handgun without a permit and certain persons not to possess a firearm.

Collins was lodged in the Burlington County Jail pending court proceedings.
