Man arrested on drug charges in Central Bridge

CENTRAL BRIDGE, NY — A man was arrested early Monday following a traffic stop on South Main Street.

Schoharie County Sheriff’s deputies stopped a vehicle at approximately 12:22 a.m. after observing multiple Vehicle and Traffic Law violations.

The driver was identified as Carlton Moxham, 40, of Central Bridge.

Deputies learned Moxham had a revoked driver’s license.

During the stop, deputies observed items consistent with drug paraphernalia inside the vehicle.

When Moxham was taken into custody, he was found to be in possession of cocaine and additional drug paraphernalia.

Moxham was transported to the Schoharie County Sheriff’s Office where he was held pending arraignment.

He was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree, a class B felony; criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree, a misdemeanor; manufacturing drug related paraphernalia, a misdemeanor; aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle in the second degree, a misdemeanor; and various Vehicle and Traffic Law offenses.
