CORTLANDVILLE, NY — Two people were arrested on drug charges following a traffic stop early Tuesday morning in the town of Cortlandville.
Jaymie L. Fox, 42, of Cortlandville, and Cody F. Marshall, 36, of Cortlandville, were taken into custody at approximately 1:39 a.m. Tuesday.
Officers from the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on State Route 281 at approximately 1:15 a.m. for vehicle and traffic law violations.
Authorities determined Fox was driving the vehicle while her New York State driving privileges were suspended.
Further investigation revealed that Fox and Marshall were in possession of a controlled substance.
Fox was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and obstructed license plate.
Marshall was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.
Both were transported to the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office for processing and released on appearance tickets.
Fox and Marshall are scheduled to appear in Town of Cortlandville Court on Feb. 2 at 1 p.m. for arraignment.
