Fire extinguished in Emsworth

EMSWORTH, PA — Firefighters extinguished a house fire Friday afternoon in the 100 block of Oliver Avenue in the borough.

Station 148 and mutual aid units were dispatched at approximately 1:30 p.m. Jan. 24, 2026, for a reported structure fire.

Engine 148 with six firefighters responded immediately and arrived as the first engine on scene.

Crews found a two-story single-family home with smoke showing on all four sides.

Firefighters located fire in the ceiling between the first and second floors and extinguished it.

Units operated on scene for just over four hours.

The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Allegheny County Fire Marshal.

Seville Volunteer Fire Company provided coverage for the fire district while units operated on scene.
