SOUTH WINDSOR, CT — A school bus driver faces a dozen charges after police say he failed to stop students from fighting on his bus.
Dominic M. Jimerson, 61, of New Britain, was arrested Wednesday on 12 counts of risk of injury to a child.
The charges stem from an October incident in which Jimerson was driving a bus carrying 12 minor students.
Police say during a 25-minute period, several students targeted and fought other students while Jimerson failed to intervene.
Jimerson did not address the behavior, impairing the morals and safety of all students on the bus, according to police.
Jimerson turned himself in at police headquarters at 12:31 p.m. Wednesday.
He was processed and released on a $5,000 non-surety bond.
Jimerson is scheduled to appear in Manchester Superior Court on Feb. 4 at 9 a.m.
