ROCKLAND, ME — Police executed a search warrant on Jan. 23, 2026, in the city’s south end following a month-long drug trafficking investigation.
Officers recovered approximately 40 grams of crack cocaine during the search.
Jason “JD” Viorla, 40, of Bangor, was arrested at the scene.
Police said Viorla has suspected ties to North Carolina and New York.
Viorla was charged with felony aggravated trafficking in scheduled drugs.
The charge is aggravated due in part to a prior conviction for trafficking, according to police.
Additional arrests related to the investigation are expected.
Police said they regularly receive information and complaints from citizens regarding locations suspected to be involved in drug trafficking.
